We all talk when we are playing and we all know that it’s all in good spirit. What he said was very true, talking trash while playing the game makes it a more enjoyable experience. It’s better than just being super serious and focused. He also said â€Å"Trash talking not only makes the game more fun, but it also makes the game more competitive. When you’re playing someone who won’t shut up, it makes you want to play better and try harder to win the game so you can get a chance to talk about your opponents game. Even though we are all friends, playing Madden can get very serious. Some of the things that we say may seem like that we hate each other, but really, we are just very competitive and want to win. If you came with us and watched us play you will hear a lot of very profane comments about each other. Sometimes we say and talk trash to get a rematch with someone if you have lost. Senal, for example, was talking with someone trying to get a rematch and said â€Å"come on son, stop being a pussy you little bitch†, basically enticing the other guy into giving him the rematch. Felipe, another person who plays Madden with us once said â€Å"Shut the fuck up, why are you talking so much shit when you can’t even score a touchdown. † When people say that trash talking is immature and shouldn’t part of any sport or competition, they need to realize that it’s all in good fun and sometimes we trash talk not just to make fun, but to also keep ourselves hyped and in the game. Trash talking is not only done to put down your opponent, but it can really help the person stay confident about them self. Sports and competition isn’t just all about skill and being physical, it’s also about being strong mentally. We do what we need to do to stay mentally strong to make sure that we don’t screw up and lose the game. Trash talking is just the mental part of the game. You can have as much skill as you want to have, but if you can’t stay mentally strong, you’re not going to win a lot of games. It’s not done just to make your opponent feel like dirt, it’s done to keep your confidence up and to screw around with your opponent’s mentality. If you can get your opponent to second guess himself into doing something else instead of doing what they really want to do, then you have basically won the game before it’s over.
